Tips for social content

Keep colors on-brand

Use the Upload Image / Param Code feature to extract a color palette from your logo, a campaign photo, or an existing brand asset. This ensures the gradient matches your visual identity.

Use film grain for a premium feel

Enable Post-Processing → Film Grain at a low value (10–20). The subtle texture makes the gradient feel less digital and more intentional.

Animate for Stories and Reels

For video content:

  1. Set canvas to 1080 × 1920 for portrait
  2. Enable Ping-pong Loop
  3. Click Record MP4, record 3–6 seconds, stop
  4. Import the video into your editing tool (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut) as a background layer

Add text overlay

Export the gradient as a background layer, then add your text, product image, or overlay in a design tool (Figma, Canva, Photoshop). The gradient provides the background; your content sits on top.

Create a cohesive series

Design one gradient and export it at multiple dimensions for different platforms. The same palette at 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 creates a consistent visual identity across formats.

Quick export workflow

  1. Open GradLab
  2. Set canvas dimensions for your target platform
  3. Pick your colors and adjust the animation
  4. Click Download Frame for a static PNG
  5. Import into your design or content tool

INFO

Canvas W/H are layout dimensions. Output pixels also multiply by Math.max(2, devicePixelRatio) and the export scale. Check the dimensions displayed in the Export section.
